How we collect, use, and protect your information
Vedvah ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Vedvah, a sole trader, is a personal growth companion app that helps you gain clarity, grow intentionally, and connect with the right coach when you need one. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
We are based in the United Kingdom and comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe (web subscriptions and coaching bookings) or, on mobile, directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play billing systems. We never store your full card details on our servers — for mobile purchases, Apple/Google share only a purchase token and subscription status with us, which we use to verify and activate your plan. We retain a record of your subscription status and payment history for accounting purposes.

Each of these providers processes data only as needed to perform their specific function, and is bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
Two features in Vedvah use OpenAI to generate personalised content: your Weekly (or, for Premium members, Daily) Insight — built from your Life Wheel scores, any notes you write when submitting your Life Wheel, and your current Your Path intention — and your Identity Compass reflection, built from the answers you write to its reflection questions. Relevant text is sent to OpenAI only to generate that specific response. We do not use your data to train OpenAI's models, and OpenAI does not retain this data beyond generating your response. If OpenAI is unavailable, these features fall back to a rule-based response built from our own templates, so the app keeps working either way.
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings within the app — this takes effect immediately and does not require contacting us. A small amount of data (such as payment records) may be retained afterwards where we are required to do so for legal or accounting purposes.

Account deletion is available directly in the app and takes effect immediately. To exercise any of your other rights, email us using the contact details below — we will respond within 30 days.
We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted password storage, and access controls limiting who can view your data. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Vedvah is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
